When GOD called our ancestor Abraham he told him he was to be a blessing to all the people on earth. The mission of Abraham and of Jesus and of us who FOLLOW is to provide blessing by being the people we are , and through the lives we live, and the RELATIONSHIPS we foster.

STORY
Every place and every people have a story to tell. Our story takes us back through the turbulent history and divided loyalties of these islands to a time long ago and a place far away. Our story goes back to the time of Jesus Christ, and before that, even to eternity itself, into the heart of God who we worship and serve and in whom this story reaches its conclusion.
These pages tell something of that story, and of who and what we are today. Each of us, regardless of our age, social background, gender, nationality or self image can become part of that story. All we need is the wish and the will to do so......
MISSION STATEMENT
Our aim is to be churches filled with God's love, shown in Jesus Christ, giving it away to others

The strategy to fulfil this aim is to
  • Co-operate with whatever God is doing in our community and beyond.
  • Enable people to be confident in their faith.
  • Develop and share their gifts.
  • Ensure that the church buildings are open each day as places of prayer and Eucharist.

The tasks undertaken to effect the strategy are
  • Listening to God, being praying communities.
  • Being nurturing and welcoming church communities.
  • Raising the profile of the church in the wider parish community.
  • Increasing the community's awareness of God.
  • Being there - wherever there is.
PARISH RAYER
Father, pour out your Spirit upon us
and grant us
a new vision of your glory,
a new experience of your power,
a new faithfulness to your word
and a new consecration to your service,
that your love may grow among us and your kingdom come:
through Jesus Christ
our Lord.
Amen.
