Saint Mary’s and Saint James’s are congregations in Aberdeenshire in Scotland, who are committed to serving the communities around us - the town of Ellon and the villages of Cruden Bay, Collieston, Hatton, Longhaven, Newburgh, Balmedie, Potterton,,Cultercullen, Udny Station, Pitmedden, Tarves and Ythanbank – and also, as far as is possible, the worldwide internet community.

The opening words of our Mission Statement are - We seek to be Churches filled with God's love, giving it away to others. And if there is any way in which we can be of help to you, please just ask. We will do what we can.

The parishes have a worldwide partnership, which includes our companion parishes of Saint Paul's, Woodbury, Connecticut, USA and All Saints', Eng-cobo, South Africa, as well as mission partners in Nepal, Palestine, Papua New Guinea and Togo.

Since 1994, through the Porvoo Declaration, the Scottish Episcopal Church and the other Anglican Churches of Great Britain and Ireland have joined with the Evangelical-Lutheran Churhces of Estonia, Finland, Iceland and Lithuania; the Church of Norway and the Church of Sweden in recognising the Baptism, Eucharist and Ministry of each other's churches.

From 2001, through the Reuilly Common Statement, the Scottish Episcopal Church shares Communion with the French Reformed Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of France, the Reformed Church of Alsace and Lorraine and the Church of the Augsburg Confession of Alsace and Lorraine.
